With the changing digital landscape, every industry throughout the world has had to adapt and change, and those who are unable to do so will perish. The office supply sector is not immune to these changes, and we have been watching some fascinating changes heading our way, from what is thought to be an industry where changes occur infrequently, and very rarely do you see changes happening on a digital platform.

However, this was not the case, as we spoke with Garafour, an online office supply retailer, who told us that the market is changing for the better. We prepared this essay with their inputs, and I hope that if you were looking for some insights, you would discover this.

1. Providing eco-friendly office supplies

This one is an obvious choice. With the recent changes in the environment and the negative effects that have been caused, as voiced across the globe and spearheaded by the Swedish teen Greta Thunberg, people, and thus businesses, appear to realize that they must become eco-friendly to ensure their continued existence or face public backlash.

Going green is the current fad in office products, with everything from manila folders made of recycled fibers to an eco-friendly clipboard made entirely of recycled plastic. Even traditional paper is being recycled, pun intended, as demand has decreased and consumers desire alternatives like a digital pad with a pen-to-paper writing experience, which contributes

2. Promoting your product via multi-channel marketing

People want to be able to buy from the comfort of their own homes these days, so instead of opening physical stores, they are attempting to order from websites, apps, and other social media channels to save time and effort.

This means that websites must now give users with an interface via which they can sell their products. However, we definitely hope there are no Ryan Howards at the corporation attempting to construct Dunder Mifflin Infinity.

3. Introduce Smart Vending

Vending has long been a component of any physical product business. However, throughout the course of the decade that is coming to an end, structural modifications have been made that have been able to address issues of time consumption in office supply management.

IVM Smart Stations™ and lockers have automated vending by providing employees with rapid access to supplies, ensuring zero downtime and productivity. This has ensured that issues such as customer support and product tracking are at least partially rectified.

These are some of the big concerns that we believe could be game changers as we move forward. The use of artificial intelligence would assist to make Smart Vending Machines even more powerful and propel the entire process forward, and with changes in manufacturing and distribution methods, we are excited to see how the office supplies business evolves in the coming decade.
